What is a good, reasonably priced auto polish? - best auto polish

I recently moved into a much warmer climate, and it seems that the sun (or so) Fading red paint on my car and blurs the real future. Can someone me a cheap nail polish in the fog? I want a polish by hand (applied with a cloth, do not want something that requires a buffer).
